Technology platforms for online learning events
As LAUREA, we analyse and use digital event platforms to offer learning experiences to professionals. Here are some of our favourites and the reasons why:
MeetYoo, headquartered in Berlin. Germany’s expertise in organising large exhibitions combined with its IT engineering skills and great graphic 3D designers. The platform is able to handle thousands of simultaneous visitors easily and offers exhibitors great value for money. Its just very exciting to offer such an immersive event experience to participants.
B2Match, headquartered in Vienna. A very cost-efficient platform to run hybrid events. Both online and on-site participants use the same platform and app, which offers a genuine ‘we are all together’ feeling. The platform is focussed on ‘B2B’ matching with features to advertise your offer and set-up 1-1 meetings. It works great in combination with an audio-visual company that can create a visually attractive ‘live stage’.
Let’s Get Digital, headquartered in Groningen. Strong in offering a genuine ‘live event’ feeling with its ‘check-in’ and live feed in the main event lobby. Our Dutch friends also nailed the user experience with easy navigation and a networking carousel to connect with peers without losing time with non-relevant contacts.
These platforms go ‘beyond’ Zoom but can easily integrate with it.
LAUREA has operational experience with several of these platforms and we’ll share use cases in the months to come. Each of these platforms has its strengths but also weaknesses and it is only by actually using them in a live environment that all the nitty gritty details surface.
These are exciting times for learning professionals and I would be curious which of these platforms will establish itself as a strong brand going forward.
